Be aware of Scams

With the advent of the Internet there has been more and more Australian's have come face to face with scams from people trying to steal funds from their bank accounts. Probably the most famous of the Internet scams are the 'Nigerian scams' known as Advance Fee Fraud or 419 scams.

'governor' Swaps Principality For Jail

THE self-proclaimed governor of the 'Principality of Camside' and the 'State of Sherwood' in South Yarra, who set up an unregistered bank which raised $6 million, faces 16 months in jail for contempt of court. David Siminton, of Nar Nar Goon, was sentenced on Wednesday but will not be taken into custody until his appeal against the Federal Court order is heard at a later date.
